A daily intake of omega-3 fatty acids can help to maintain various healthy body functions. But how can you make sure that you integrate a sufficient amount of these healthy fats? And what are the differences for adults and children?

Before we begin, let’s clarify a few important details. Firstly, that omega-3 fatty acids are a class of essential fatty acids, which provide crucial nutrients to your body. Getting a little more technical, omega-3 consists primarily of three essential fatty acids: EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid), DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) and ALA (alpha-linolenic acid).
