Hydration for a full-body glow

Beauty & Grooming

Give your skin and hair the fuel it needs with a good serving of H2O!

Water makes up more than half of your body weight - and without the right amount, your body can’t work at its best. Good hydration supports the body’s immune system (our best defence against illness), keeps our mind sharp and helps skin health. Whether you are having a ‘glass half empty’ or a ‘glass half full’ kind of day, raise your glass and try these tips to stay hydrated and look and feel healthy!

Meet your daily water quota

You should aim for at least eight glasses of water per day (2 litres in total) to help move toxins along and rehydrate the body. Supercharge your hydration by adding a vitamin and mineral rich supplements that help you look and feel good from within. But don’t stop there. It’s also a good idea to up your water intake when you exercise, are exposed to hot or humid weather, or if you’re fighting sickness. We recommend grabbing your go-to container and making a water bottle your mandatory accessory to sip throughout the day.

Drink your water, and eat it too

Hydration comes in all shapes and sizes, food included. Bite into a juicy peach for a nutrient-dense and hydrating treat. Or, refresh with a watermelon, made up of 92% water! Vegetables also contain plenty of water, like crisp cucumber or crunchy celery (containing lots of fibre for digestion too!). Snack on them alone or add them to a juicer or smoothie for a tasty drink option.

Pack skin with hydration

Skin is the largest organ in the body, and just like all our other organs, it needs enough water to function its best. Without water, skin looks dry, tight, and flaky from dehydration. In addition to drinking an adequate amount, consider the right skincare for deep, long-lasting skin hydration, like Artistry Hydra-V™ products. The perfect time to pack skin with hydration is actually right before bed, as skin cells renew 2-3 times faster at night than they do during the day. Apply a hydrating serum to plump the lower surface layers followed by a moisturising cream to seal hydration in the top layer.

Wash, dry, hydrate, repeat

Constant hand washing can wreak havoc on the skin, leaving it dry, irritated and cracked. A treatment mask on the hands is a great way to instantly rehydrate skin, and best of all, it will also make your hands feel moisturised, healthier, smoother and suppler. We recommend first using an exfoliator to buff away flaky, dead, dry skin. Then, nourish your skin with a hydrating mask or serum, which seals in moisture, soothes and helps shield skin from environmental aggressors. While you’re at it, give distressed locks a drink too with a hair mask. This will help strengthen, hydrate and repair damaged hair to its natural healthy-looking beauty. Self-care has never been more essential!

Stay hydrated, inside and out, for a healthy body that not only feels great but looks it too!
